Send one email to a whole list
Announcements, seasonal reminders, price changes, a note to everyone you worked for last year. This sends one message to many people, each addressed to them, and reports back on who opened and clicked.
Send one
- Go to Contacts, then Smart Lists. Open a saved list or apply filters, then tick the contacts you want with the checkboxes.
- Click Send Email in the bulk action toolbar and confirm the selection.
- Choose how to write it: Quick Compose for a plain message, Smart Builder for something designed, or Select Existing Template to reuse one you already have.
- Write it, then click Review Campaign and check the sender details, the content, every link, and the recipients.
- Choose delivery: send now, schedule a date and time, or drip it out gradually.
- Click Send Email.
See what happened
Go to Contacts, then Bulk Actions, and click Show Stats on the job. That is where opens and clicks live, provided click tracking was on when you sent it.
Send yourself one first. Make a list containing only you and send the real thing to it. Links that go nowhere, a subject line cut off on a phone, and the wrong business name in the footer are all invisible in the editor and obvious in your own inbox.
Getting this right
- Narrow beats broad. "Past clients in one suburb who have not booked this year" gets replies. "Everyone" gets unsubscribes.
- Drip mode for big lists. Spreading the send protects your sending reputation rather than firing thousands at once.
- Say something useful. A reminder that storm season is coming earns its place. A newsletter about your company culture does not.
- Replies come back into the shared inbox, so somebody needs to be watching it after a send.
