Ask for reviews without chasing
Reviews do not arrive because the work was good. They arrive because somebody asked, at the right moment, with a link that takes two taps. There are three ways to ask here, and they are not equally useful.
One at a time, by hand
From a contact, use the quick action to send a review request. Fine for the occasional job, and it will not keep up once you are busy.
From the reputation area
You can send individual requests and track everything that has gone out in one place. Useful for seeing who has been asked and who has not.
Automatically, which is the one you want
Inside an automation, add the Send Review Request action and choose whether it goes by email or text. Attach it to the moment a job is actually finished, which usually means an opportunity moving to your Won or Completed stage.
- Open or create the workflow that runs when a job completes.
- Click Add Action and choose Send Review Request.
- Pick the channel, text or email.
- Publish the workflow.
Two things that stop this backfiring
- Do not ask twice. Someone who already left a review and gets asked again looks like a business that is not paying attention.
- Do not ask after a job that went badly. If there was a complaint, a human should ring them. Automation does not know the difference, so exclude anything tagged as a problem.
Text usually outperforms email for this, because the link opens on the phone that is already in their hand.
